Association
Association's purposes
Our association proposes a main object: diffusion and mastering of fantasy genre in literature and games, through a set of various projects in the van of informatics and through the birth of discussion and role-playing groups.
Main media for diffusion of ideas, proposals, debates is the Net, through the creation and the realisation of a Web site with a cityfied, national and international nature: cityfied, as reference point of game and commercial organisations in Turin; national, as key of a fantasy growth, especially Tolkien's writings, confined by "official" culture in the role of entertainment; international, as a part of a world wide and young net, doomed to become a fundamental phase of social development.
Web site and association's activities
The project is composed by four parts, which are strictly linked with the parts our site:
- permanent literary laboratory about Tolkien, with the purpose of promoting the narrative of the great writer through readings, comments, drawings taken from the Net or realised by the association's members; we are contacting scholars and learned men, making an attempt to create and develop a starting point for a deeper study about J.R.R. Tolkien, as a man and as a writer.
- fantasy fiction, with suggestions and reviews of new entries and existing books
- role-playing, especially fantasy role-playing, rich in various files, from those taken from the Net to those created by our members, paying more attention to quality and entertainment and less care of commercial needs
- playing-meetings, where people passionately fond of fantasy can gather and stay together, with a chance of taking advantage of the space and the time of official fantasy meetings to play and enjoy oneself.
Association's structure, how to become member
Our association is a no-profit organisation.
There are some founder members that are involved in the first phase of association's life (its creation) and a certain number (we hope it will grow soon) of ordinary and special members.
Founder members have the right to manage a personal corner in the web site, while the other members can collaborate in an active and interactive way with advice, participation and realisations of various kind.
Associative instalments (that you will pay once a year) are communicated every time by one of the responsible members.
Extern collaboration
We are conscious of the impossibility of making all only with our means, so we are opened to any collaboration with other associations, people or societies with our same purposes. This collaboration can be in private terms, or in commercial terms, for example with any sponsor.
